June 2023 Ecuador Mission Team

Meet the 2015 EMT Team!

This year we are 12 students and 2 teachers. Meet the Team!

Hola! My name is Christina and I can't wait to touchdown in Quito. I still can't believe i have this opportunity. Oh, and I barely speak Spanish, but it's okay because my miming skills are excellent.
Hi there! My name is Kristen and I'm currently a rising senior at Whitefield Academy. Since lower school I've always wanted to be apart of the EMT, and now I am! I'm so excited for the trip and I can't wait to experience all Ecuador has to offer. (Hopefully I'll be able to remember some of the Spanish from the fours years of classes, but hey, I've got a Spanish to English dictionary just in case.)

Hey, I'm Coby. I am a rising junior at Whitefield. I am really excited to land in Quito. Being in another country for the first time should be very cool for me.

Hi my name is Julia! I am a rising Sophomore at Whitefield Academy. This will be my second mission trip and I am so excited to experience Christ in such an amazing new place again! I cannot wait to meet everyone and hopefully build some great relationships along the way!

Hey everyone! My name is Logan and I'm a rising senior at Whitefield. I'm excited to go back to Ecuador and re-connect with everyone I met last year. Hopefully it will be another great trip!

Hey, I am Malcolm Griffin. A rising Sophomore at Whitefield. I am very excited for the Ecuador trip. It will be a great experience with a different culture. I am also very excited to teach about Sports and Science two things that really interest me. Something you may not know about me is that I collect autographed Baseballs.

Hi!  I’m Olivia Viergever.  I’m a rising 11th grader at Whitefield Academy.  I’m so blessed to have the opportunity to help the children in Quito, Ecuador.  One thing about me is that I love  spending time at our lake, jet skiing and Pugs.  Especially my baby Pug- Lucky!
Hi I am Mariah! I am a rising Junior at Whitefield. This will be my first trip out of the U.S. I am beyond excited to let God use me minister to the children in Ecuador. I am very anxious to see the beautiful nature in Ecuador. Something's I enjoy are playing volleyball, drink coffee, and eating sushi.

Hi! My name is Maddie Fry and it is my second year going to Ecuador! I am very excited to have this opportunity to come back and teach second grade. I will work as hard as I can to help as many children as possible while I am down here. I am grateful to God for blessing our team with the ability and privilege to go on mission trips such as these and spread His good word. I want to thank my family and friends for supporting me. I also want to thank God for helping me and putting His mission and the motivation to complete it into my heart. God bless!
Hola! My name is Anna Griffin, and I'm a rising sophomore. This will be my first mission trip, but I am beyond excited!
Hello, I am Henry I am a rising sophomore. I play soccer for my school. I am very excited to go on this trip to Ecuador because I would like to strengthen my relationship with God. Also, I have never been on a mission trip before so I am excited to help people I do not know. I am a little nervous but, I am also very excited.

My name is Bailey Koenig and I'm so excited to be going on my second trip to Ecuador going into my junior year! I'm looking forward to teaching third grade again and see all the kids I taught last year!

Hi, I'm Dave McCune - I'm a math teacher a Whitefield and though it's my first year, I'm excited to already have the privilege of traveling to Ecuador with these students! I'm sad to leave my wife and 3 kids at home but I'm thrilled for the opportunity to speak Spanish, make new friends, and how God moves through brothers and sisters around the world.
