Hola! Just after dinner we spent some time organizing for tomorrow’s teacher/staff appreciation party at the school in Carmen Bajo. Some of us were writing bible verses onto note cards for center pieces, while others were getting their entertainment pieces together or so it seemed (I heard the guitar, IPod music, and blending voices). It is slowly coming together I think. We spent a great deal of time doing the gifts (sorting and separating) and wrapping. Thank you is not enough to say how much we appreciate your support and willingness to bless these teachers and moms that you have not even met. I know they will be very pleased to receive these gift items.
All in all it was a good day teaching again. The only drawback was that we got a few more comments about uneasiness and nausea. I really think the effects of our extreme weekend in Mindo coupled with teaching are now visible. We are praying for everyone to recover well.
I like the way this trip is revealing the tenacious spirit of some of the more reserved EMT members. I watched Noah and Kerry Anna for a few minutes today just immersed in their classes. Again I see that God is working, perfecting in many of them talents and abilities they would probably otherwise “hide under a bushel”.
Please pray that our staff appreciation party will be well received and once again the passion for Christ will be translated to those we are serving. We will be hosting it from 1:45 – 4:30 p.m. Blessings!
